Jewelry Making Tutorial for Star Pendant

This is a gorgeous and yet simple jewelry making tutorial to create a pendant. You can play with your creativity by mixing and matching different color combinations, or simply to match with your life style. It requires only simple tools and very economical to create this stylish looking pendant. With only 4mm and 6mm bicones, you can have a beautiful sparkling pendant!

Materials:

(A) 4mm Bicone 22 pieces
(B) 6mm Bicone 17 pieces
(C) 6mm Bicone 8 pieces

Step 1:
Pick up a total of 8 A.  Pass the right hand thread from right to left through the 8th bead so that the threads cross within it.

Thread 1 B, 1 C and 1 B with the left thread. Cross over with the right thread through the last B added.
Step 3:
Run your right thread through the A just above where the thread is emerging.
Step 4:
Thread 1 B and 1 C on the left thread. Cross over with the right thread through the B just added.
Step 5:
Thread through the A just above where the thread is emerging. Repeat step 4 and step 5 five times.
Step 6:
After the above mentioned steps, you will have a circle of 8 A which surrounded by a circle of 8 B and lastly a circle of 7 C.
Step 7:
Thread through the A to the left where the thread is emerging. Then, thread through the B. Now, position your piece where the threads are at the top of the piece.
Step 8:
Thread 1 C with the left thread. Cross over with the right thread through the C just added. You have a complete side of the piece.
Step 9:
Thread 1 B and 8 A with the left thread. Do not use your right thread at this point.
Step 10:
Cross over the left thread through the A which closest to the B added.
Step 11:
Thread 1 B with the left thread. Cross over with the right thread through the B added on the left.
Step 12:
Now, position your piece so that your threads are running left and right. Thread the right thread through the C below the right thread. On the left thread, thread through the A just below it.
Step 13:
Thread 1 B with the left thread. Cross over with the right thread through the B added. Then, thread the right thread through the C just below the right thread. For the left thread, thread through the A just below the left thread. Repeat the steps four more times.
Step 14:
After the 4th time, you should have 7 B around the circle of 8 A. Thread 1 B with the left thread. Cross over with the right thread through the B added.
Step 15:
Thread the right thread through the C above where the right thread is emerging.
Step 16:
Now, the right thread is the one coming out from C at the top. Thread the right thread through the B to the right of the thread.
Step 17:
Thread the right thread through the just above the thread is emerging.
Step 18:
Thread the right thread through B directly above the right thread.
Step 19:
Position your piece so that it is flat again. The side where the thread is emerging near the circle of A is facing up.
Step 20:
Thread through the 2 A just above the thread is emerging. Then, thread the same thread through B to the right of the thread is emerging.
Now you should have two threads running parallel to each other.
Step 21:
Thread 3 A, 1 B and 3 A with your left thread.
Step 22:
Use your right thread to cross over with your left thread through all the beads added. Now, you have a complete loop.
Step 23:
Use your right thread to cross over with your left thread through all the beads added. Now, you have a complete loop.
Step 24:
Cut the excess thread and apply glue on top of the knot.

    2. Do you ever bother to actually read your tutorials? You lost me after step 1 because I have no clue as to 1b 1c 1b? By then I am trying to figure it out with a picture that doesn’t make any sense..

      • Hello Kelly, we’re so sorry because we forgot to put the materials list, but we did mention there are only 2 sizes needed 4mm and 6mm. The smaller bicone on the image would be the 4mm. Please visit the tutorial again as we have indicated the materials. Cheers!
