Full Persian chain maille pattern is one of the hardest to understand chain maille weave pattens. It looks intimidating at first, but once you get the hang of interlocking the jump rings, you’ll find that it gets easier and easier as you go along creating the weave. And because of its rope-like features the Full Persian chain maille pattern is a favorite pattern when making bracelets and necklaces.
I will go thru the basic of full Persian weave using 2 colors of rings: silver and gold so that you will able to follow the steps. First, start with 1 opened ring. Place 2 closed gold ring onto the silver ring.
Close the silver ring when done. Place in another silver ring through the 2 gold rings as shown in the picture and close it.
Hold both ends with 2 strings or twist ties. Hold both twist tie with your left hand.
Now open up the gold rings in a “V.” Add 2 more rings thru the two silver rings within the “V.”
With a pre-opened silver ring, hook it through the first pair of the gold rings from the side and then through the second pair of gold rings.
Close the ring and chain in another silver ring
This is how it would look like. Open the gold rings in “V.” Repeat the steps until you arrive at your desired length.
If you continue the weave, you can make a bracelet or necklace out of it.
