Macramé or macrame is a form of textile-making using knotting rather than weaving or knitting. Its primary knots are the square knot and forms of “hitching”: full hitch and double half hitches.
When making macrame’ you need to have cords that can be made of twine, linen, leather or yarn. You can also use jute or hemp.
You may also need a pins and boards to hold your macrame as you work.
You can buy these tools on craft stores and shops that specializes in macrame’ crafts. You can also use a cardboard or anything hard enough that you can tie or clip the cords. Me, when I do macrame I just use my table and a masking tape LOL. It works!
So now the fun part – the tutorials! It would be of help if you learn first the basic macrame knotting techniques. You’ll find awesome instructions HERE by Dottie Hoeschen and then pick out what macrame’ jewelry you’d like to create I hope you like my choices ♥
