One popular way to bezel a cabochon or any type of bead is by using the Peyote Stitch.
To get you started here is a quick tutorial for Peyote Stitch. Follow the arrows which represents the thread. Your pattern of weaving would be, “pick up a bead, skip a bead, pick up a bead.”
Continue to follow the steps of beadweaving until you build up a beadwork of Even or Odd-Count Peyote.
Now, how to use this with bezeling a cabochon or bead?
Start by threading some beads and form a circle, about the size of your cabochon or bead that you want to bezel. Make a knot after you have formed your circle and you can choose to pass the thread twice to strengthen the foundation.
Then from here start adding your beads following the weaving pattern of “pick up a bead, skip a bead, pick up a bead” while going in circle.
The narrower the circle becomes the tighter your beadwork will be. You should use a smaller size of beads when you’re nearing the top surface and center of the cabochon.

Exciting, isn’t it?
